As Christmas approaches, as with every Christmas, I am acutely aware of what it means to have family, or not. I am one of thousands of dads in this country that are deliberately kept away from their children. The court silences me to “protect the child” and heavy consequences if I talk about it.. so I won’t.
You might think it’s talk of a dark past but it’s not. I always wanted to have my son in my life and for him to have me in his life. But the prejudice in this country.. the inequality of equality… stinks.
And then the news comes through the radio.. Britain and Australia apologising for child abuse. Children separated from their families and migrated to Australia as cheap labour. Well, I can understand the damage that can bring but REALLY, it sickens me to hear an “apology” when I know first hand how this country continues to abuse it’s people by denying fathers and children their basic rights to contact… the simple art of talking.
Every day my son is lied to and the state supports it. In my case alone, the state spent more than £100,000 “protecting” my son… from what? For those that know my story, thank you. For those wanting to know, the timer is ticking downwards.
